life sucks

Yeah i just got home a little while ago from our tournament game for baseball, we lost. We were playing Williamsburg at Midland's field 1. Not having a real practice for like a week hurt us i think, all we've done lately is batting practice. We had 8 errors that accounted for most of their runs and i had the infamous honor of making the final out of my final tournament game of my high school baseball career. It was the worst feeling ever watching the ball head straight for the 3rd basemans glove and the other team start celebrating. I admit i was having to fight back the tears after we all got packed up and were walkin out. It didnt hel pat all when coach totten was tellin us to keep our heads up and build for next year, there is no next year for me and i dont think that has ever sunk in this whole season until now. Thats what being a senior means though and i'll have to move on, for now though life isnt a happy thing. I guess im supposed to talk about cisco some too so last week i finally finished up my worksheet of like 6 labs dealing with routers. So yeah, im gonna go do something to get my mind off baseball, bye

Yep thats right, the Reds are in first place in the National League Central division. 1 game up of the Cards and 1.5 up on the Astros. Things are lookin up but im stil not convinced it can last, but u never know. Yep in cisco rightnow we're doin a packet of labs and i just got done doin one of them. We're configuring routers and stuff which is pretty cool, but it can get confusing too. Well on the positive side of thing we only have 2 weeks left of school (if ur a senior that is) and im way more than ready to get out of here. I've already checked out of school since we dont have anymore calculus to do now that the AP test is over, so im doin pretty good

Well i just got done workin on a lab for cisco where we were tryin to configure a router and i got the first one done without too much trouble. I really didn't know what i was doin that much but i did get it done so thats the important thing i guess. Yep and its baseball season again and the Reds are actually kicking butt, they got the best record in baseball right now. They just got done winnin 2 out of 3 against the ex-first place Houston Astros so now the Reds are in first place in the division by a half game so thats pretty cool. I'm thinkin postseason this year for the first time in forever, why cant the bengals and the reds both be good in one year?

Well lets see here, its ben a while since i last updated this here blog but thats because we had spring break and didn't have to blog. We had 5 games over spring break but didn't play all of them. We lost to chca but then beat new miami, lockland and ccd. Just yesterday we beat st. bernard which put us in really good position to win our division. If we play today and beat north college hill we've pretty much won it. Yeah and im also really sucking at batting right now and i don't know why so im just a little pissed about that, but at least we're winning games which is what really matters. Yep and in cisco matters, the server was down the last couple days which means we couldn't much in here. So we went and looked at the main server stuff where all the internet comes and goes for the whole school and that was pretty cool. Well thats all i can think of for now so yep, im done.

jr slave day

Well yesterday was jr slave auction day and today is slave day. Me, james, jake and ian all bought dan smith. We've got him all dressed up in signs tha say he loves baseball and hates soccer, the score to last years michigan-osu game and how he loves me and james. I made dan carry me to my class with resnick today and made him wear a nice silk yamaka that even the richest of jews would be jealous of. Yep and im about to take my module 2 test here for cisco and so yeah, im probly gonna fail it like my last one but who knows, maybe i'll get a 100 and we'll get a party! Or not

Hey i'm in study hall right now and i actually have somethin to do cause i "borrowed" the laptop. Yep and 3rd quarter is over and i'm ready to get this last one over with too. 15 out of 16 are done with. Well we're startin a new quarter in cisco and i want to learn some hacking. Hack into the d.o.d and find out the codes for nuclear missile lauches or somethin. I hear from doc that it could orgelbritznoyben, not that he would have any reason for knowing those kinds of things or anything. Well im goin to go look at other stuff now cause im gettin bored so adios.

Yeah well if forgot to blog last week which isn't cool, i need a good grade in here to help make up for the evil that is calculus. Yep and anyways, yesterday in cisco we were tryin to take our module test but couldn't figure out how to get the internet to work at all. We didn't have the wireless router so we were tryin to use the switch but it wasn't workin, so (very unfortunately) we couldn't take our test. Hey in semi-good news UC is the only local team still playin but that's because they are playin in the NIT this year. Oh well, while ur in it, may as well win it.

Happiness

Last weekend was a very happy time for me. UK lost, Duke lost and UC beat West Virginia to nearly solidify its bid for an at-large bid into the tourny. Well since this is for cisco class i guess i should talk about cisco a little bit lol. So yeah last week we started talkin about ccna2 and what we were gonna be doin for the rest of the year on this class. It's gonna be pretty cool and im ready to get started with it all. In a sad bit of news, Passa is no longer here at ccs, but gettin the full-time job at indiana weslyan is a good thing so im happy for him.

Cisco lab and UC

Well last week i only had 1 cisco class, which we used to do work on our "cisco lab". We got quite a bit accomplished and i dont know if its done now or not cause i was skippin school friday. Well i wasn't really skipping, i went to UC for this cincinnatus scholorship competition thing, which wasn't too bad actually. Although writing an essy for a whole hour is never that fun but oh well.

Well lets see, not much has happened this week in cisco. On monday or whatever day we had cisco first this week, we just finished up the worksheets we were workin on earlier. On interim day we went up and got 10 keyboards and mice for our newly created "cisco lab". In non-cisco news, UC OWNED SYRACUSE which greatly helped uc's chances of makin the tourny. They still have absolutely have to beat providence and seton hall is a really important game. I'm not even metioning 'nova cause there's no chance of that happening. West Virginia is a possibility but it won't be very easy.

Well lets see here, its been a while since i last posted cause last sunday and monday i couldn't get on blogger. Then i found out we didn't have to blog at all last week so, well, i never did. Well last week in cisco we didn't do a whole lot since we only had two classes. Wednesday we listened to this world meeting thing with a lot of computer and electronics leaders. It was interesting but got kinda hard to pay attention to for the whole hour and a half. On friday we just worked on these worksheets that im really not too sure about, i only did the first half cause i really didnt know what i was doin at all on the second half of it, but im sure ill figure it out. Well thanks to Kyle Henry we got to have another party in cisco again last week. It ws pretty sweet, we had some starbucks coffee (go mr k.!), donuts and some bread stuff james's mom made that was really good. We got to screw around and watch retarded peoples videos online and listen to music and stuff so it was pretty fun. Lol well Ive got some cisco stuff i should be workin on thats due tomorrow so i guess thats all i got to say for now.

Final Finals Week

Well this week is finals week, and my last finals week of my high school career i might add. The week starts off great with calculus very first and comparative gov after that, but only calc will be bad. The way i look at is if i dont study ill get a 60 and if i do ill get a 65 cause studying doesnt ever seem to help me much on tests, calc is just gay like that. The day after that i got my esy day, bible and cisco. Since this blog is for cisco anyways i guess i should ellaborate a bit on our exam. Well its gonna be over all the modules we've done so far this year (and 2 we havent) and i got myself a 47 on the practice exam so ill probly have to look over some stuff again before the exam but after a little review i'll remember it and ill be good. Thursday i got college english 2 and physics so that day will be kinda tough but not too bad. Friday i shouldn't have to come in at all but me deciding to do honors choirs (which i'm definately dropping for next semester) but after that exam i'm home free. Oh yeah and the next week im gonna be in florida soakin up the rays, or as much as there is in the middle of january, but at least i wont be stuck in school like u all! haha :)

Hey well it sure has been a good while since ive blogged, never did over christmas break so yeah its been a while. Well in other news since the last time i blogged a very important event has occurred. For the first time in 15 years the Bengals are goin to the playoffs and we get to take out pittsburg this sunday for the 2nd time this year. Good thing i have to be at work while the games goin on, but ill be on my cell phone the whole time gettin scores lol so my manager will just have to get over it. The Bengals playoff game is just slighty more important than anything that could be going on at work. Oh well since this is a blog for cisco i guess i should be talkin about cisco stuff some to, like that painting. I think that painting can relate to networking because all the people in the picture are all together and networking computers together can all people to almost be together on different sides of the world. Another thing that i think relates is that all of the kids are playing london bridge is falling down and computer networks sometimes crash and fall down too. Lol i know that was some real deep thinkin but oh well. Till next week, peace

Heck yes! I just got a 100 on my last cisco test and i'm feelin pretty darn proud of myself, we're definately on the way to havin a party cause wtih billy still takin his test we already have 3 100's including mine. Im ready for some more starbucks and donuts in a couple days. In football news, the Bengals played the Browns last weekend and in a really crappy performance the Bengals barely won 23-20 on a field goal with 1 second to go, but a wins a win so it's all good. Sadly the Steelers had no problem with the Bears so we still don't have the division title wrapped up but it's gonna happen. Next week is Detroit and if we lose to them then we don't deserve to win the title but that won't happen so we do. Well until whenever i get on here again to do some updating, peace.

Well last weekend the Bengals had a great game against the pittsburgh steelers and won 38-31 to put us in pretty good shape so far as winning the division goes so I'm pretty happy. So last week in cisco we started making straight through wires and i got mine made and came home and tested it out on my wireless router and well of course it worked cause ive got skill like that. Too bad that skill didnt transfer over today when we were tryin to make crossover cable but nobody else could get it to work either so im not the only one. Its gonna be good when we finally get them working cause then we will be able to link the xbox's we have and play some halo 2 and forza motorsport.

Turkey Day Weekend

Well last weekend was the thanksgiving weekend which was very nice. I had me 3 thanksgiving dinners. One here at school on tuesday, of course one on thanksgiving at mt aunts house and then another one on friday at my grandmas house, good stuff. Yeah and since this blog is for cisco i guess i should talk about what we did in cisco last week, although we didn't really do much besides have a party cause mr. spies got a 100 on his test which i already mentioned in last weeks blog but since we only had 1 class last week theres not much to talk about. Ok so now back to the weekend goings on. We had another who-dey sunday as the bengals took down the ravens 42-29 to improve to 8-3, which i didn't get to watch cause i got to spend my whole Lord's Day after church at work, and after they take down the steelers next week we're gonna be in a pretty good position. Other than all that i don't got anything else so see ya.

Well last week in cisco we took ourselves the module 5 test and i didn't do quite as good as i though i did, but all hail billy spies who got a 100. Which is why ive enjoyed 2 starbucks self-made lattes and donuts and danish and all kinds of non 6-pack promoting foods right now. Yeah and as the name of my blog implies i gotta talk about the bengals-colts game, but i realy don't have too much to talk about it really beacuse i was at work sunday from freaking 1-9:30 and completely missed watching any of the game. At least i had my cell phone though, i was gettin me updates like every 30 seconds so it wasnt too bad, well besides the bengals not bein able to play any defense at all, like 5 straight colt touchdowns bad. Chad and Palmer had great games along with the rest of the Bengals offense but it wasn't enough to overcome the crappy defense. Oh well, at least the steelers get to lose to indy next week so the Bengals will get their 1st place standing back so it's all good.

Mission Trip

Well i just got back from the mission trip yesterday and i've gotta say im really glad to be back. Im glad i went and everything and i think we got lots of work done but you can only sleep on a hardwood basketball court with only a sleeping bag for so long. Yeah and the poison ivy i got all around my eye didn't make anything better either. lol i pretty much blame steve perry for it who had it like 3 times as bad as i did. I never touched anything that i even think could've had poison ivy in it so i must've been one of the lucky ones that steve decided to share with. Yeah and before i realized my eye was itching because of poison ivy i had been itching them which is probly why ive got some on my hands and wrists too which pretty much sucks. I've been on benedryl pretty much constantly for the past 3 days which is probly the onl thing keepin me from goin crazy with my eye itching. Well and all we've done in cisco is what im doin right now so not to much to talk with that, so i guess that means this blog is pretty much done then.

Well i never got around to blogging last week because of lots of tests and then of course the mission trip and gettin ready for it took up lots of time. All i remember doing in cisco last week was taking a test which i found out i was really good at guessing on because i got myself an 80 somehow which is pretty sweet. Other than that i dont think much went on in cisco last week.

Well i really don't have a whole lot to say this time cause i missed a day of cisco last week so i dont know what happened then. On monday though doc was teachin us about wave frequencies and stuff, we ahd a pretty cool demonstration with waves using a slinky. Today we had out test over module 4 and i actually did a lot better than i thought i did, i must be a good guesser or somethin. Well ill probly be bloggin later on htis week so until then, adios.

Yep thats right, i just got me a 75 on my cisco test. I'm pretty excited about that. Other than the test though there's not really anything else goin on in cisco till friday probably. In other news, the Bengals are now 5-1, soon to be 6-1 after they take down the Steelers this Sunday. And that's really all i can think of to put in here today, my minds kinda blank right now, so yeah thats it.

Wireless Networking

Last week we were all working on presentations for different types of internet media, wireless, copper and optical. My group was doing wireless. We had a picture of forest fire on our first page, it was pretty nice and we had a pic of a cheerios box from the 60's with a free nuclear missile model inside, those were definately the highlights of our presentation. We're supposed to be ahving a test sometime soon but im not sure how great i know all this stuff, but we'll see.

cables and networking

Well last week in cisco we took our module 2 exam again and i did better than i did the first time but stillnot as good as i wanted. I thought i did better than i did but it's cool. We had a parent in here last friday who was working in the networking field. He talked all about different kinds of cables and fiber optics and stuff, it was pretty cool. He also has these really expensive tools to check interent connections in cables to diagnose problems with the network. We're working on presentations on the different kinds of cables and stuff so everybody needs to do a good job on that so we can have the stuff we need to take the module 3 test.

Well i forgot to blog last week which isn't cool but i sure did tie for the 2nd highest grade in the class on the last test i took, got me the really high score of 59, oh yeah! lol we really need to retake that test which we will so thats cool. In other cisco news we've been watching this movie called sneakers, which from what i can tell after missing the first hour or so of the movie, is about these people trying to get back this black box of doom that can hack into any computer system in the U.S. That'd be cool to have, think of all the mischief u could get into lol. Well last week in cisco wasn't as bad as i was thinkin it would be the first time i looked through all the stuff in module 2. Theres a whole lot there but it's not too bad. The only stuff im still not gettin to good is the TCP/IP stuff and eveything that goes along with that. So ill have to look over that some more before the test tomorrow. cyberspace and stuff

Well i just got done checkin out that atlas of cyberspaces website, it was pretty cool. I thought that the artistic and topology links were the coolest ones. The artistic one showed lots of different drawings and movies that hae been made that visualize what cyberspace could look like. The only ones i had heard of out of them all though were tron and the matrix though so i guess back in the 80's, when most of the movies on there were made, people didn't really care about cyberspace movies too much. Anyways, the topology one was cool cause it was showing lots of different maps of the internet itself that people have come up, they all look pretty weird but still cool. Juts looks like a bunch of random lines and squigglies to me but i guess thats what they would look like to someone who had no idea really of what they stand for.

binary and hexadecimal #'s, fun stuff

Well last week we talked about binary and hexadecimal #'s in cisco. Yeah i know it all sounds pretty confusing but it's not too bad, well i take that back, hexadecimals are kinda weird but binaries aren't. With binaries you only have 0's and 1's so how hard could it be? With hexadecimals u got numbers and letters standing for 14 and 15 all all kinds of weird stuff so i still need to look over that stuff some more before the test tomorrow. So that's about all i got to say, nothin really happened on my labor day weekend besides work. Well i also saw a really low-budget cheap lookin movie called the transporter 2 which if u want a good laugh at cheesy special effects and crazy not believable at all action/fighting scenes, then i recommend it completely, but other than that, no.

Well it seems that 500 other people already have the same usernames and web addresses that i wanted so it only took me about 45 minutes to get this blog goin. Anyways, i just got done readin that why im not gonna buy a computer article and i pretty much completely diagreed with it. He just sounds like some tree hugging crazy guy who would rather save a few moose in Alaska than drill for oil and lower my gas prices. The only thing i could kinda agree with him on is the strip mining thing. The mining companies do tear up a whole lotta land to dig for coal that way, but when they're done the government makes them fill it all back in and re-seed it so it's not that big of a deal. Another thing, if this guy's so against using a computer, then why does he have articles on a place where u can only read them using computers? As for me im gonna keep gettin on my computer, gettin happy when they find more oil to drill for and using plenty of electricity.
